GENERAL SUMMARY
- We are currently looking to fill some volunteer positions in the Twin Cities Area.
- Mind Foundry is seeking volunteers who will help assist onsite staff in the classroom. This is a great opportunity to inspire children as well as gain valuable work experience.
- Mind Foundry Learning team members are passionate about working with kids and technology. Our team is seeking an individual who is self-motivated, great with families, kids, and has a passion for teaching and promoting the Mind Foundry Learning brand.

Mind Foundry Navigator

Our team is seeking an individual who is self-motivated, great with families, kids, and has a passion for teaching promoting the Mind Foundry Learning brand.JOB DUTIES:
- Prepare and familiarize themselves with each sessions curriculum
- Guide and tutor students through the Mind Foundry program
- Help students think strategically and apply a broad, positive, and creative perspective to complex problems
- Guide and motivate students to actively think about problems and solutions
- Facilitate program sessions as needed in different learning centers
- Take attendance and manage required paperwork for sessions
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians
- Assist with events and other out-of-regular-program-hour activities as needed
- Setup and cleanup of program spaces used
- Take on other tasks as needed and required by the position and in coordination with program leader
- Interface with parents during pickup and via the Mind Foundry web and mobile applications (e.g. student’s progress, any breakthroughs, goals for next week).
- Attend staff meetings and complete training as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of one or two years of experience working with kids preferred – ex: after school programs, classroom teacher, tutor, etc.
- Ability to work evening hours, and some Saturdays.
- Able to be physically active with and engage youth
- Encouraging, supportive, patient and flexible
- Tolerant and respectful of individual and cultural differences
- Attend required Navigator training sessions
- Be willing to communicate regularly with program leaders and take constructive feedback regarding mentoring
- Have a clean criminal history

Teachers will also have a team of navigators to assist them in coordinating classes.
