Phoneme Segmenting: CVC Words Review
Segment CVC words into individual phonemes with fluency.
Objective: Students will segment CVC words into three individual phonemes with fluency and accuracy.25 minutes - 4
Segmenting CCVC and CVCC Words
Segment four-sound words with initial and final consonant blends.
Objective: Students will segment CCVC and CVCC words into four individual phonemes.25 minutes - 5
Segmenting with Digraphs
Segment words containing digraphs, treating each digraph as a single phoneme.

Blending and Segmenting Together
Practice switching between blending and segmenting tasks.
Objective: Students will fluently switch between blending phonemes into words and segmenting words into phonemes.25 minutes - 7
Sound Chains: Blending and Segmenting in Sequence
Practice word chains that require both blending and segmenting as sounds change.
Objective: Students will complete word chains by changing one sound at a time, using blending and segmenting skills.25 minutes - 8
Blending and Segmenting Mastery Review
Review all blending and segmenting skills in preparation for the checkpoint.
